Ethel and Stuart Lewis

Home

Ethel Lewis was a dear friend of my family. She was the reason my parents moved to Australia. Ethel (Bette, as she was known) was the Godmother of my brother and sister. We all considered her as a grandmother, and dearly loved her. Ethel died in Tasmania, Australia in 1990. We never knew how old she was, as she would not tell anyone her birth year! I do not know much about Stuart, her husband. He had died before she moved out to Australia in the early 1960's. They owned and ran a pub in England. Stuart loved to race motorbikes and Ethel loved to swim and attend parties.
Stuart was in the British Army. Click here to view photos of his army days and other military photos.
